Page Loading Times – A Profit Killer

When someone comes to your site how long does it take them to see your content?

While high speed internet is pretty much the norm these days, there are still websites out there that load too slowly.  Page loading time, is quite simply how long  it takes for your web page content to be visible to your web traffic.

Most good web developers will make sure that your loading times are optimized, but it can become a serious problem if you make your own sites, or outsource on the cheap.

Does Page Loading Time Really Matter in The Age of High Speed Internet?

Yes.

If anything, people are more impatient on the internet these days.  We have come to expect websites to almost instantly pop up when we visit them.  The faster the internet gets, the higher our expectations get.

A slow loading website will effect your bottom line when you are online marketing.

If people get impatient, they will bounce from your site. They won’t even wait for it to load.  They won’t even SEE any of your content or offers.  They will be lost forever.

If that isn’t bad enough (and it is) you are also playing with fire in regards to Google.  While none of us know everything in the Google algorithm,  ever so often Google will throw us a bone and let us know.  They have came out and said that load times will effect Google rankings.  They want to bring their users the best content, and page load time counts.

So even in this age of blazing fast internet speeds – loading time counts.

Ensure that your website loads quick!  It will lower your bounce rate, increase your conversions and keep the Google Gods appeased.  The proverbial “no-brainer”.
