Have you been trying to make money online? Things not going as well as you had hoped? Are you still struggling? What is the problem? When I see people struggling with online marketing the following problems seem to pop up more than anything else:
- I have no traffic!
- Google Adsense turned me down
- People come to my site but don’t click
- I can’t afford to advertise
- My niche sucks
- I’m working but no one is using my offers
- Etc…
Those are certainly all real problems that people face everyday. In fact anyone in affiliate or online marketing has probably dealt with them. That is the key – they dealt with them. That is what you have to do – deal with the problems. None of those problems are game enders. If you think they are then I think I can pinpoint the problem…it is you.
I hate to be a jerk, but it’s true. If you let problems like that derail your online marketing efforts, then you are in trouble. All of those problems, and almost any thing else you encounter online can be dealt with. Giving up in the face of small problems like that though? That is a much tougher hurdle to clear, because you have to look at yourself and make some fundamental changes.
When I ran into the above problems (I did and still so) I met them as challenges. Simple everyday problems every online marketer deals with (the above list is a fraction) can not be viewed as roadblocks. They might be speed bumps, but nothing you can’t clear with a little forward progress and momentum.
If you are having problems making money online, then it is time to take a look at yourself.
- Are you putting in the time?
- Are you putting in the effort?
- Are you grasping the techniques and concepts?
- Are you open minded?
- Are you committed to learning?
- Are you treating online marketing as serious as you would a job?
If you ask yourself those six questions, and you answer no to any of them, then you have probably pinpointed a very huge problem with your efforts. Your first task is to fix any question you answer no too.
When you can answer these six question with a yes (and be honest with yourself, you don’t cheat anyone but yourself if you say yes when you really mean “kind of”) then you can begin to look at outside variables.
If you answered yes to all of those questions, then you can begin to wonder about things like your niche, system etc… You won’t be able to effectively judge what works and doesn’t work until you are giving your full effort.
Instead of looking everywhere else to find out why you aren’t making money, do an honest self assessment. Once you are firing on all cylinders, then you can address outside obstacles.
